SUNDAY THOUGHT- be uncomfortable

The title might be a little in your face, but I mean it. BE UNCOMFORTABLE. I always remember studying in philosophy the repeated theme of human discomfort and breaking out of routine. I was particularly intrigued by these two topics because it’s something we silly humans seem to ignore the most. But the fact that we ignore it gives it some validity.

We tend to ignore things that scare us, challenge us a bit more than we like. But there is SO much power to be found when we dive head first into these very things. Now I personally am so so so extremely guilty of doing this. Hell, this blog is something that terrified me for some unknown reason. But here we are. Anyways, the point I’m trying to get to here is this- we need to allow ourselves to feel uncomfortable, because when we feel uncomfortable there are many new things to learn about yourself. I mean think about it! If you stay doing the same-old same-old, day after day after day, engage with only people you know there are no new things to discover about yourself or the world around you. One of the many reasons you are existing in this world is to learn from others and the environment around you, so get out there and challenge yourself to feel a little uncomfortable.
